Program Overview
Achievement for Latinos through Academic Success is an intervention program designed to reduce dropout among middle school Latino students. The program assigns a counselor to each student to monitor attendance, behavior, and academic achievement. The counselor provides feedback as well as advocates and intervenes for the student when necessary. Training in problem-solving is also provided to students and parents.
