NEW PROGRAMS THAT WORK
This month PPN has added the following program summary:
PASCET Program Shows Promise for Reducing Childhood Depression
One program that shows promise for treating depression among elementary school-age children is the Primary and Secondary Control Enhancement Training (PASCET) program. PASCET teaches children skills to enhance their own enjoyment in situations they can control and to be able to modify their feelings and reactions to situations they cannot control. The PASCET curriculum consists of eight 50-minute sessions led by two trained therapists.
